A SE STESSO - TO HIMSELF
1 hr 45 mins
Paolo, a forty-year-old director who achieved success with innovative films but now works exclusively on commercial comedies, discovers he has only two months to live due to an illness and returns to Senigallia to shoot a commercial. During his stay, he reflects on his life and past, meeting significant people such as Maria, a homeless man; characters like Don Lucio, a priest in crisis; and Leopardi, who appears as an imaginary figure; and his first love, Francesca, an intelligent and charming woman who works in a town hall. Through these events, Paolo explores profound themes such as mortality, regret, and the value of life. He begins to reevaluate his priorities and seek reconciliation with his brother Piero and with himself. His illness becomes a lens through which he sees his life more clearly, allowing him to rediscover the importance of human relationships and passions. "A SE STESSO - TO HIMSELF" is a 2025 Italian Film.
